Aunty Juliet

Aunty Juliet @ Kota Kemuning. Had lunch here on 28 October 2017. Address can be obtained from my previous blog entry. As usual Aunty Juliet is always a pleasure to talk to. She informed that there will be a A&W outlet opening near CIMB bank and a Moqsue will be built opposite the road. Whilst walking to Hero Supermarket, we saw that A&W outlet was already open.

Total bill RM73

Bubur Pumpkin in bubur cha cha cream. Very nice. Creamy, sweet but a tad watery. Had with the set Asam Boi. The Asam Boi was very refreshing on a extremely hot and humid weather

One thing good about Aunty Juliet's is that there are many toys for kids to play with

Thai Fried Rice. Nice but not enough thai for me. Chili padi is mixed in the rice when cooked so if you do not have a tongue that can handle spicy, beware

Nasi Goreng kampung

Tender and juicy pieces of chicken. With great brown sauce

Fried Ubi Kayu and potato curry puff. Brilliant tasting

Sultan Abdul Jalil Shah IlI Silver Bullet Coins

Not much is know about this piece. Any help from readers as to it origins and history is most appreciated.

I was made to understand that this piece was found in the area of Siak. Siak is a regency of Riau Province, on the island of Sumatra, Indonesia. It has an area of 8,275.18 km² and population of 432,540 as at January 2014.

Previously the area was part of the Sultanate of Siak Sri Indrapura.

The history of Johor began during the reign of Sultanate of Malacca. Previously, Johor region was part of the Malacca Sultanate. When Malacca fell due to the conquest of Portuguese in 1511, after the death of the Malacca Sultan, Mahmud Syah in 1528 in Kampar, Sultan Alauddin Shah, one of the sons of the king of Malacca, made Johor the center of his government.

As the heir of Malacca, the Johor Sultanate considers the areas of Johor, Pahang, Selangor, Singapore, Riau Islands and areas in Sumatra (Deli, Siak, Rokan, Inderagiri, Coal and Jambi) as sovereign territories.

Sultan Abdul Jalil Shah III ibni Almarhum Sultan Alauddin Riayat Shah III was the 7th Sultan of Johor who reigned from 1623 to 1677. He was also fondly known as "Raja Bujang" before sitting on the throne.

When an alliance between Jambi and Johor broke down, a war erupted and Sultan Abdul Jalil Shah III fled to Pahang and made it as his administration centre for four years before he died in Kuala Pahang in 1677.

This piece is an ancient Johor currency made of silver or silver bullet coin used during the reign of his excellency. It is inscription in Arabic " Sultan Abdul Jalil Shah " and the other side " Khalifatul Muminin. Meaning Prince Successor.

I only have one piece in my collection. Iphone 6S+ not really good at zooming close range

Numb Chucks

The other day I was watching some cartoons on Disney XD with my kids. I had no idea that cartoon has evolved to be so politically correct and they had numerous terms implying vulgarities. Let me illustrate. One of the episode of Nerd and Monsters, where one of the Nerds used the words Golden Tsunami to describe piss

But what made me utterly laugh was Numb Chucks where Dilweed used the term youth impaired to describe old folks

Her wrinkles definitely defines her character

These guys definitely will give me a run for my money

Rich Dad Poor Dad

I first heard about Robert Kiyosaki, during my younger days involved in AMWAY. Back when their office was in Jalan 223, Petaling Jaya in early 2000’s.
I remember listening to one of his cassettes where, he mentioned that when we were little kids, we would get so excited seeing a sports car. We would all wish and be hopeful that would be us one day owning such a car. And we would enthusiastically tell our dad look at the car whilst pointing at it. But over the years as we grow older, we sway far from the dream and loose hope of ever owning one. We feel that it is unattainable. We have more important daily commitments that must be met.
That was how I felt recently, so I decided enough was enough and got myself an old 1985, 944 Porsche. It may not be the latest Porsche but it still carried the German marque emblem on its hood. I wanted my son to know that it is possible to own sports cars and never leave your dream.
Lately, to get myself motivated to better venture into financial freedom, I purchased the book Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Kiyosaki. Although I had read the book years earlier but I had not practiced what I had read. Not getting any younger, I needed to take matters into my own hands, if I wanted to gain financial freedom.
I will read it every lunch hour hoping to finish 10 pages daily. That is the investment I can make to my mind to gain a different understanding and thinking’s to grow money.
Although there are cases that Kiyosaki had gone bankrupt on two occasions, in 2012 and in the 70’s. But we learn from the good that people share.
Even Donald Trump's company declared bankruptcy 4 times but look where is he now today.
There is also talk that Rich Dad is a fiction. In 2016, Kiyosaki disclosed to Oprah that Rich Dad was actuallyRichard Wassman Kimi. Died in 2009. He even had the word “Rich” in his first name. No pun intended.
Whatever the arguments are, his advice is still good advice. According to publishers weekly, on 1 June 2017, 35 million copies of the book has been sold.
His book was first published in 1997. Let’s not give excuses not be to successful
