The Foodtree Cafe (2nd Visit)

Made another visit here, even on a Saturday, 17 May 2014, parking remains ample and you could almost seat anywhere. There were only a few patrons, but the food remains excellent as ever.

Dry Wanton Mee RM8.90. Nice but the fried dumplings were a tad too crispy. The solution was dipping it into the soup provided. The soup was nice. Flavorful and not salty. The bbq chicken provided is very soft and tender. The mee had a funny smell but other than that, it tasted fine. My only complaint is that the portions has decreased in size. I doubt that a growing adult would do with just this one dish

Foodtree fried rice, this is one of their specialty. RM12.90, a must try. Rice is soft and tasty. Chicken was all that it is supposed to be, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The spices for this this dish is just right, flavorful but not spicy. Hence, the kids will enjoy this

Fish and Chips RM15.90. Fish was very tasty and fluffy. There was no fishy smell usually associated with such dishes. The sauce provided was yummy. It went very well with the fish and fries. This is also another must have dish. The two fillets provided will not fill you up, so ensure you order something else as well

Prawn Ball Dumplings La Mee RM10.80. Not bad but my complaint is the same as above, too small in portion to feed a full grown adult like me

Chilled Mango Sago with Pomelo. This desert is a must have. They have improved on the presentation and changed the bowl too. This dish now not only looks good but taste even better. Picture does not do justice to this dish. No sugar added. Just wholesome sago, pomelo, mango, biji selasih, milk, vanilla ice cream and etc. RM7.50

Snow Ice Blueberry Sago RM6.80, grape fruit lovers would find this irresistible. Although it has blueberry's in it but the grape flavor overpowers this dish

Ordered coconut RM6.90. The fillings inside the coconut was hard (old coconut). So after drinking the coconut water, they were kind enough to break it open and peel out the coconut fillings and serve us. This is what I call service

The total bill. Water is 50 cents a glass
