Right of passage, shaving

To me shaving is a ritual. Something sacred. Something you take your time with immense pleasure. It is something not to be rushed. The reward is having your face soft and supple like babies bottoms.

When I was younger with a laughable budget. Shaving was a chore. Something you needed to do to look presentable. But as I grew older, I learned about Bbq, Mancave and grooming. I transformed into, well a modern man.

Well groomed, smelling nice and taking care of myself. You see ladies do it. Why not us guys. Hi

It was not easy buying the shaving stuff that needed. But inspiration came from many ideas from fellow YouTubers.

Bowls from Aeon Jusco Nilai. RM5 each. The brush from Body Shop about RM60++. The Gillette is just simply awesome. Safety Razor is so painful to use. Many nicks and cuts. I think it is more meant for man with ingrown hair.

The soap is handmade from Sunway Pyramid. RM25. Smells great and soft on the face with a hint of sandalwood. There is such a contrast between the color of the soap and the bowl. Mesmerizing all the same

Saw many videos on YouTube on the art of shaving. Such a fascinating process of the soap being stirred into a soapy foamy bubbly form. The art is knowing when the foam is sufficiently mixed to be applied onto the face.

Fake bristles

My blade arsenal - fusion and safety razor. The Gillette is pure gold. Smooth as silk. The safety razor. Well, hmmmm. Be prepared for cuts and more cuts

Also in my arsenal is a Scholl foot file and nose hair trimmer

Your ritual will not be complete without some Yankee Candle

Real pleasant smell while you shave
