10 Jalan Turi, Bangsar

On 23 April 1992 before midnight, Mrs Suneeta Talwar returned home from a night out with her husband and some friends. What was supposed to be a memorable outing turned tragic and unimaginable horror when upon return to a place she called home, she was attacked by her relief security guard. The regular guard was on leave and on that faithful night, Gwenkens Security Services S/B appointed replacement Ariffin Agas.

He had hit her on her forehead and when she fled, he had thrown a rock at her and caused her some minor injuries. She sought refuge and assistance at her neighbours house. Later that night, 25 year old Ariffin led police to the gruesome murders where they discovered 3 bodies belonging to American citizens, Arjun Talwar 7, his brother Kabir Talwar 11 and their Indian maid Natalia Fernandes 45. Corporal Majid Jaafar 38 from Pantai Police Station informed that the bodies were piled on top of each other at the bottom of the 15 feet septic tank behind their home,10 Jalan Turi, Taman Bukit Bandaraya, Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur.

The Investigating Officer, Inspector Sheridan Mohammad, 39 revealed that he had detected human blood on 2 rocks found in the garden of the house. Blood stains were found in the stairway, in the television room leading to the master bedroom and in the hall. He had found 2 teeth in the television room, 2 on the carpet floor and 1 on the dressing table on the master bedroom.

Dr. Sharifah Fauziah Alhabshi 40, General Hospital Kuala Lumpur, commented that a great deal of force must have been inflicted on a 11 year old boy to have 5 of his teeth to be dislodged.

On the day of the incident, Mr. Rakesh Talwar and Mrs. Suneeta Talwar had gone out for dinner with some friends at about 8pm. Mr. Rakesh later returned and went away in a taxi with some luggage. He left to Europe on business.

Mr. Rakesh, was a director attached to Colgate Palmolive (M) S/B and was on his way to London at the time of the murder.

Mr. Rakesh when confronting Ariffin in court, uttered, "How can you sit there like that...? You should be there in a cage. I hope someone will do that to your children".

Sometime in 2006, Kalbana Perimbanayagam, a journalist had commented through his investigations of the lackadaisical attitude by security companies in hiring of security guards. In simple terms any Tom Dick is Harry can become a guard. You read that correctly. No pun intended to Tom, Dick and Harry.

Ariffin was sentenced to death by the High Court on 28 March 1994. His execution was carried out on 27 December 2002 at Kajang Prison.

My prayers goes to the family of the deceased. May the Lord all mighty always look after their beloved children under his grace.

Picture obtained from the internet from iproperty. The real estate agent was advertising the unit for sale in 2010. From the picture the property remains intact. As depicted in the picture, it was taken from inside the car. I guess the agent was not keen to get out of her car and take a closer picture

This is the only picture I manage to find on Ariffin

These are the latest pictures by me on 8 April 2016
