Chawan

Located at Lot G-43A, Citta Mall, Ara Damansara.

Our family outing on 17 March 2016.

Ambiance is cosy and inviting. In one sentence, the food was great but expensive. GST 6% and Service Charge 10%. We went off peak hours so the place was rather empty and there were ample staffs around to serve us

I noticed that there were numerous food outlets completely empty on other floors during this time so diners may have better choices.

Roti Boom with Chicken Curry RM11.00. Roti was soft and crunchy. The Chicken was soft with creamy delicious gravy

Sirap Bandung RM5.00. A tad expensive seeing that they did not add in any carbonated soda

Bee Hoon Curry Laksa RM13.00. I did not try it. My wife ordered this dish. They initially served us Mee Hoon but after my wife informed that she had ordered Bee Hoon, they promptly changed the dish. My wife did not give favourable comments on this dish. She informed that it lacked character and was not tasty and stingy in ingredients

Ipoh Kuey Teow Soup RM13.00. The soup stalk was palatably nice and rich. Great aroma and delicious to the last bite. The served the smaller sized Kuey Teow that my family always raves about. My only comment was that the Kuey Teow and ingredients was lacking in quantity for the price

Murtabak Daging RM7.50. Freshly made. Crispy skin and soft flavourful beef on the inside. The gravy is the same as the Curry Chicken. Yummy to say the least

The Tarik RM2.70
