Kopitiam Penang, OUG Plaza

You have on numerous occasions head the word "hidden gem" but to what extend is it really a gem. Well this little food outlet is. It is truly a hidden gem. Located at the Ground Floor of Plaza OUG just besides Giant. Lot 2. Tel:012 371 2551. The ambiance similar to other kopitiam's but more basic in decor and brightly lit.

My lovely wife posing in the shot

Lum Noodle RM7.90. Simple delicious. Mee was soft and springy. The soup was just the right taste and not bombarded with MSG. It had ample fillings of fish balls, fish cake and prawns. It is served piping hot so don't dive in. Had my tongue and gums burnt for doing this

Curry Chicken Rice RM8.90. Brilliant in taste. Rice was fluffy, fragrant and had just the right amount of santan. Chicken was very tender and full of curry flavor. Gravy is heavenly. Thick with all the right spices added

Stuffed Chicken Drumstick RM12.00. It's a bit on the pricey side for such a small piece. But trust me once you bite a chunk of this, you'll be hooked

Its basically chicken meat rolled in eggs and century eggs. Brilliant. Every bite oozes with juicy chicken and eggs. What more can I say?

In less than 2 minutes this was the last piece left

Coconut water RM4.50 and Water at RM0.80 a glass

The Bill. Although service is provided and we were served fast but guess what, no tax and service charge

Ordered this later. Asam Fish Filet RM18.00. I cannot describe this dish as I may not do it justice but the picture alone says it all

Herbal Soy Sauce Chicken Rice RM8.90. Ok but more meant for people not craving for fried food or gravy filled food

Omelet Long Beans RM8.00. Just ok for me

Curry Mee Hoon RM7.90. Yummy to the very last drop of gravy
