Mona Fandey remains a mystery to this day. The reasons for her brutal killings is as mysterious as her. Some say it was greed, yet other remains unmoved with that the notion that killings were ritual based. Who knows?
These are recent pictures of what was once her temporary home behind SK Tanjung Lumpur. Pictures taken on 12 April 2015
A bright sunny day, not dampen by the surrounding mysteries. I understand from the villagers that the house was demolished by them as it was used as for refuge by drug addicts. The rubble that remains
The lone standing tree, understand that it was used as a ladder to climb through the roof of her house
This is another mystery. The villages claim that it was used as a "Perigi" during the Japanese occupation of Malaya. And over time a tree grew in the pond. Who many of you know any "Perigi" build so high? Defies logic to fetch water. This "Perigi is located next to the Mosque besides the school
The Villages also informed that some of the old timers knows Mona personally and that she was very humble and nice. Always willing to give a helping hand and money to those in need. They claim that she was a regular at Hospital Tengku Ampuan Afzan where one of the Villager works. That same villager informed me that Mona has many houses, one in Kampung Peramu and another on the way to Teluk Cempedak. Unfortunately, I did not find them
