Buka Puasa on 12 July 2014, I cannot rave enough about this place. Food is excellent. Ambiance great for those who like an antique feel. Service is good. I have posted the address and more info on this place in my previous blog.
Entrance view. Parking is ample, depending on what time you dine. Parking is be the side of the road, designated parking by MPSJ. After 6.00pm its free
The chef, Thomas. German in origin. A great dude to chat with. He is ever willing to share recipes and the best part is is also a numismatists too. He has been here long enough that whenever you chat with him the la's after each sentence comes out. Ha ha ha
Wild mushroom soup RM8.00. Great to the last drop. Very creamy and you can taste the mushroom broth. The only mushroom soup that is better is the one served in Kings Hotel Malacca. But that was years ago. Don't know if it is still as good
Garlic Bread RM4.00. A must have. Goes very well with the soup
Kids menu. Pink Panther. Chicken nuggets and french fries. This is not the store bought fries. These fries hail from real stripped potatoes and the nuggets are fully chicken filet. Really awesome tasting. Crispy and soft. Spiced just right for kids taste buds and adults alike. RM14.00
Newly intorduced in the menu, I did not get the name. RM24.00 sort of turkey meat loaf, bread mixed with turkey and various spices. Not bad. I prefer more meat in my dishes. The sauce is mushroom based. Awesome. The sauce can go well with other dishes as well
Sorbet RM10.00. Anyone who loves sorbet must try this. It is sweet and not savory like some places. Served with canned fruits at the bottom
The total bill
Subsequently, we ordered duck salad. Did not get the price. The duck is simply soft and juicy. There is also no duck smell
Chicken chop. This is a must have. Share if you must but this is a must order. Served in mushroom sauce
Cheese cake RM12.00 a slice. Another must have. Better than most cheese cakes sold in bakeries or cake shops. Try this, you will not regret it. Be it the fasting month, my wife decided to go here merely for the cheese cake
