Tasty Chapathi @ Kg Kasipillay

During one of my assignments I stumbled upon this place. It looked very grand from the outside hence, I was tempted to give it a try. Located at Viva Lot B-0-3, Jalan Suppiah Pillay Off Mile 2.5, Jalan Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur. Tel : 03 - 4043 2636. Oppening hours 11am to 11pm. My advise don't go during opening hours. You may be the only customer there but they will take about 5 minutes to give you the menu. Each of their staff will be busy setting up although this should have been done before their official opening hours.

Ambiance as you can see is exquisite. Clean & tidy. The crew neatly dressed and know their contents of their menu very well

Being an early bird does not have its perks. I did witness this staff accidently dropping a set of cutlery on the floor. He merely picked it up, wiped it and put it back in the tray. He should have had the courtesy to wash it again. Hygiene factor

They also sell Borneo cultivated pearls and bangles

RM15 per bangle

Tasty Special Lassi RM7.90. Not your usual run of the mill lassi. It is sweet for a lassi with a hint of sourness. Strawberry flavoured. I will definitely have this again

The flakes and nuts takes this lassi a notch further

Aloo Methi Prontha RM6.90. Punjabi bread (Chapathi) with potato filling

A very thin slice Chapathi like a dominos New York crust Pizza but thinner. Just the right amount of herbs and spices. Very tasty. Did not disappoint

Tauhu Sambal RM5.50

A tad spicy but thick sambal and flavour packed with each spicy bite. You will love it. I will definitely bring my family here. No service charge. GST 6%

Jalan 2/27C, Section 5, Wangsa Maju

20 July 1993, Mohd Affandi bin Abdul Rahman and Maznah Ismail (Mona Fandey) was arrested at a house along Jalan 2/27C, Section 5, Wangsa Maju. I tried to get the exact house number but to no avail. I will try obtaining the same for court documents but for the meantime below are pictures of the houses located along Jalan 2/27C as it stands todate

I wonder which house it was?

Shogun Express Kiosk Sunway Medical

Alternative Japanese Food, Shogun Express Kiosk located on the Ground Floor , Sunway Medical Centre, No. 5 Jalan Lagoon Selatan, Bandar Sunway, 47500 Selangor, Malaysia. Tel: 603-7491 9191 / 5566 9191. Why I say its alternative? I feel that it's not really authentic Japanese food sticking to its roots but rather modified to suite our taste buds.

Being a kiosk it has limited seats and food items on the menu. Operation Hours: 8.00am - 10.00pm (Mon - Sat), 10.30am - 6.30pm (Sun).

As we had a reason to be at Sunway Medical, I was not able to focus on the menu names and pricing.

However, on my last trip to Sunway Medical a few weeks back, the joint has closed down and taken over by Subway Sandwich. So I'm sharing these with readers for information purposes only.

The burger is good. Juicy due to soup like beef used

I would give this a skip the next time as the noodles used is more like Maggi

Curry tasting chicken. A fusion of Indian curry and Japanese style of cooking chicken. Something different

Pak Hailam Kopitiam, Carrefour Bukit Rimau

Lot G17-G20, Carrefour Bukit Rimau or Aeon Big

This is one of the interior view. Above is the exterior

Pak Hailam White Coffee RM4.50. Very deceiving. Looks very plain but it packs a punch

Nasi Lemak Curry Chicken RM14.00. Added Fried Egg. Rice fluffy and just right the coconut taste but the gravy was thick and flavourful. Nicely done not too rich and very soft and tender chicken. The flesh peals off easily from the bone

Curry Laksa RM13.50. Laksa lovers would like this

Wantan mee with Chicken Curry RM14.00. Just look at this dish. Can you go wrong? No just order

Gluttonous chicken rice RM5.80. Not the best but ingredients are plenty but a tad dry

Bread and eggs RM6.90. The secret of success for this dish is the running eggs. Brilliant when the chunks of bread is dipped into the wet egg yoke

Oriental whole wheat Chicken Pau RM3.70. This is one of the fluffiest Pau I have ever tasted. The filling is almost bbq like very tasty and making you wanting for more

Simple Fried Rice RM9.90 with add on Sirap Limau with RM1.50. For something looking rather plain, it was flavour packed. Not spicy with great sambal belacan. Minus the overpowering belacan smell.

GST 6%. Service Charge 10%

The biji Selasih just made this drink pop up

Oasis @ Sunway Club

Outing on 25 April 2016. A date with my lovely wife

Plain water RM0.60, hot Barley RM3.00 and K Lime RM4.50. My wife was recommended by our usual waitress to try the K Lime as it was good for those having sore throat. It worked and my wife expressed some relief after trying the drink. Apparently according to the waitress, the lime can only be purchased from Chinese medicinal shops

Deep Fried Wantan RM14.80. Surprisingly although the fried wanton skin was crispy but the meat inside remained soft and moist. I had my doubts before ordering this dish because of the many places I had tried them, mostly failed because they were all dry and too hard. Ruining the dish

Beancurd Rice RM9.00. I love soft tofu and this is hella of a way to have it

Cantonese Yin Yong RM8.00. Flavourful broth with ample chunks of ingredients and crispy mee. The broth is so good that you will end up slurping it like soup

OWG, Dim Sum outing

RM14.00 for 3 baskets of dim sum is a steal for me. The catch is that they only have it on Saturdays and Sundays. I'm not going to dwell on the food here or its quality. The pictures speaks a thousand words

Some decorations to keep guests amused
