Nautilus



Although nautilus has been around for millions of years there has been no extensive research done on this amazing animals.


Remaining relatively unchanged for millions of years are often considered "living fossils."


Nautilus are only found in the Indo-Pacific (Indian Ocean region) and they inhabit several hundred meters in the deep slopes of coral reefs.

There is some living nautilus that can be viewed in Aquaria.

Here are some of the shells that I had managed to purchase for my own collection.

The one on the left had been polished. It has a pearl life finishing. Right is the original shell
