Bumbu Bali (2nd Visit)

Hi. This is my second visit to Bumbu Bali @ Bandar Puteri Puchong with my wife. My wife was fasting (replacement for her last year's uncompleted Puasa). We went there on 12 May 2014 killing 3 birds with one stone. We made a trip to Pets Wonderland (purchase rabbit food), bought some stuff through a 3rd party buyer via mudah.my and finally dinned at Bumbu Bali. Not bad I must say, finished 3 task all in one destination.

Location of this place and etc can be viewed in my previous blog dated 16 April 2014. On this trip we ordered different food to get a better feel of the place.

As you can see the table setting is impeccable

Close up of the centerpiece. This is easy enough to do and I strongly recommend that you emulate this piece in your home dinning table. Its simple enough to replicate. Just a bowl of water and flowers and a small cup with oil and floating candles. That's it. You're done

Any establishment that arranges their cutlery in this manner, knows what they are doing

A glimpse of the ambiance

Art sold at the place. They have two and three layers umbrellas, wood carvings, paintings and etc

More art and decoration for sale

Statutes

This painting of Balanese Girls in their traditional attire cost RM6,800

Sop Bontot RM17.00. My verdict delightful aroma, no msg unlike some eateries, very fresh ingredients, not spicy and the meat melts in your mouth. You will need rice to go with this dish, at RM3.00 a plate

Beef and Lamb combo RM47.00. Although this is more of a western dish but with a twist. The gravy is more Indonesian in flavor. Overall, excellent. One of the best beef and lamb I have had. There is no choice is rare, medium rare or well done. Everything is grilled to perfection and to dripped with the sauce it is simple mouth watering. TH mash potato's were delicious. Not creams and not dry. Just nice and fluffy. The coleslaw on the other hand is not so great

Tipak Cantuk or more commonly known as gado-gado, RM19.00. Very tasty, very fresh ingreediance used, the tafu is crispy on the outside and very fluffy on the inside. The grilled chicken is so soft and tender that I am amazed that chicken can taste so delicate. The dish also has nasi impit or ketupat inside, not to mention an assortment of fresh vegetables buried in the bottom

Pisang Bakar RM13.00. This is a must have, my wife (fasting) went here mainly for this desert. The rest (the other good dishes) was a bonus

Being the eve of Wesak Day, we were treated to a parade of Buddhist patriots paying homage to Lord Gautama Buddha. As you can see there were many floats and thousand of followers following. Happy Wesak Day to those celebrating Wesak.

Sorry for the poor picture quality. It's only an Iphone 4 taken by an overenthusiastic unskilled photographer

The total Bill. There is government and service tax, which will cost you the price of another dish
