Model Cars Exhibition Ipoh

Dream Big World is located at No.7, Level One, Lorong Panglima (Concubine Lane), Ipoh.

Opens daily from 10.30am to 4.30pm. Owned and operated by Elvin Chew at 012 516 3924.

We stumbled upon this lovely dream during our stroll along Concubine lane on 22 December 2018.

There's a very small deceiving poster at the entrance. It is not very enticing and you would be fooled to give this a miss. But don't do that. You will not be disappointed

On to our adventure. If you love hot wheels, you will find this paradise. You may not find some very rare highly sought after one of a kind piece but what you will find is someone who is willing to share their passion with you and Evin, I found him to be very down to earth, humble and willing to answer all questions

This place is not only filled with model cars but also Lego

I won't say much about the collection. I would enlarge the pictures as they speak mush better that I ever could

My take on this is the simply fascinating way the models are displayed. A lot of ideas you can garner

Cost efficient Christmas Tree

Today, 20 September 2019. Roughly 3 months from Christmas. I would like to share a novel way to celebrate Christmas with a budget tree. The success of this idea would all depend on the extend of your imagination.

I cannot take any credit for this idea. It was from my wife's company Christmas celebrations

Covering drainage holes at bottom of flower pots

Greetings and salutations. If you are an avid gardener like me, you may like this. I have covered drainage holes at the bottom of flower bots using many items. Flat stones, chunks of arang, pieces of coconuts husk and coconut fiber. The import thing is to ensure that the hole is sufficiently covered to ensure sand does not leak out when watering.

On one of my trips to the nursery, I requested to purchase coconut fibers to place at the bottom of the flower pot due to many drainage holes. They did not have any and suggested I use news paper to cover the holes. She said in time the pot will be filled up with roots and that alone will hold the sand, thus blocking the drainage holes. I was not too keen on news paper as it will get soggy and tear. Once that happens the sand will drip out when the plant is being watered. I feared that the roots may not grow fast enough to fill up the holes before the paper tears. So I adapted and used dried sturdy leafs instead to cover the holes and it worked fine. The plants are 6 months old now and being hanging pots, when I look up I can clearly see the holes still being blocked by leaves. No sand comes out when I water the plants. Only water drains subtly. So far so good.

Today, 7 September 2019, I bought some lovely green and pink leave plants. The pot I used had too many drainage holes and in absence of coconut fibers and dried leaves, I used freshly cut leaves to cover the files. Here take a look.

My parents must be so proud

Truth on honesty and doing the right thing

Each and everyone of us are born with a clean slate and sheet. We are all born honest, truthful and sincere. But along the way, the lines get blurred and honest upright citizens get plowed or thrown out like yesterday’ garbage. They are either left with a choice of being true to their roots and upbringing or join the crooks and prosper 👹
