Chicken & Duck Restaurant Nilai

It was one of those nights after my son had a decent home meal and we were watching Gordon Ramsay making Crispy Roast Duck. All of a sudden he asked why after seeing that he felt hungry and wanted to eat roast duck. When can I make roasted duck he asked? I told him I will look around and revert.

I checked the internet and found a few reputable places selling halal roast duck but all were out of the way. All of a sudden with the power of the all mighty, whilst I was in Nilai, I passed along Jalan TS 1/19, Taman Semarak and came across this place, Chicken & Duck Restaurant.

I was initially reluctant as it had a chinese set up and the owner was chinese but due to seeing muslim hijab clad ladies eating and after a brief chat with the owner who confirmed that his joint is halal, I entered.

It was indeed a blessing to enter, the food was not only affordable but great tasting. It has a more familiar chinese taste than a malay tasting chicken rice.

With the light soy sauce, the chicken was delicate, soft and melts in our mouth. A real delight

The chicken was not that much but it was so good, I ordered more

I also ordered the duck to have a try. It was ok. Did not have the gamy taste or smell but hands down the chicken was a gem 

I packed some for my son, as per his request

Tried some of the wanton mee noodles. Looks nice but I'll give it a skip next time 

Chee cheong fun. Lovely. The owner took his time to prepare this and I can see that he took great pride in dripping the sesame oil and seeds. Really yummy

Infinity Wars

At the time if this posting most of you would have seen Avengers infinity wars. Yesterday, 10 May was our 3 outing for Infinity Wars.

I must say Thanos was not as despicable as he was made out to be. In his sick twisted mind, there was a insane wisdom towards his actions. 

With the ever increasing population, what do we do before we deplete our resources.

The following was obtained from Unicef website -

There is an estimated average of 353,000 babies are born each day around the world or 4.3 births every second (as of Dec. 2013 estimate).

Our current world population is approximately 7.2 billion and growing. It passed the 7 billion mark in 2011. It is expected to reach between 8 to 10 billion by 2050.

So many people so little space and resources. Pollution is ever increasing. 

Thanos knew this.

Gamora:     "YOU DON’T KNOW THAT!"

                    on it. For a time, you had that same will. As you fought by my side, daughter."

Gamora:     "I’m not your daughter. Everything I hate about myself, you taught me."

Thanos:       "And in doing so, made you the fiercest woman in the Galaxy."

Newton's third law is: For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. The culling of mankind is inevitable.

There must be balance in the Universe. Too much pull towards one side, the Universe plunders into chaos  

Thanos:       "Fun isn't something one considers when balancing the universe. 

                     But this... does put a smile on my face."

Thanos:       "When I'm done, half of humanity will still exist. Perfectly balanced, as all things

                     should be."

Although Mantis said it most correctly, "Death follows him like a shadow." but he is a loving father. In a twisted way.

In summary, my verdict of the movie? The below poster will be my next acquisition to hang on the wall

11 May 2018 Breakfast

Sharing some breakfast ideas for readers. Made this complete breakfast for my family 

Ayamas Premium English Breakfast Chicken Sausage. It is a little hard to find compared to the other types Ayamas sausages. 

Drizzled with Olive Oil, Himalayan pink rock salt, Pepper and Italian spices   

I boiled potatoes, then pan fried them with mushrooms and saute with Olive oil, pepper, coarse black pepper, Himalayan pink rock salt and Italian herbs 

It is then mixed with mayonnaise and sour cream. Done 

Sunglo Sour Cream and Lady's Choice Mayonnaise. These are the products I use

Some Washington diced Red Apples 

Drizzled with melted chocolate. When the chocolate hardens they become like chocolate apple cookies

Old Town White Coffee bread. Bought this yesterday for RM3.50, after our 3rd time watching Infinity Wars

Toasted and laced with butter and kaya

R2-711 Takara Tomy

“beep bweep waaaaAAAAAA!” 

R2D2 I'm not going to elaborate more about this character. Just Google and tons of information can be found. An unlikely hero in the entire Star Wars universe. R2D2 and C3PO provided a breath of much needed comic relief in a galaxy far far away when things go desperately wrong.

This is not R2D2 but another version with streaks of green in its dome. R2-7111 Bought this Takara Tommy Japan version from Jalan Jalan Japan in One City Mall. Cost me RM10.00

The Takare Tomy version is much smaller than the Hasbro version. It is also much more solid built as it is diecast. It cannot be dropped unlike the Hasbro version, which all plastic. One drop and it will probably end up in pieces. From the left to right - Hasbro Black Series BB-8, Takara Tomy R2-711, Hasbro R2D2 and Hasbro 3.75 inches K-3PO

Chakraz Indian Cuisine

Went here on 5 May 2018. Had a late lunch. 13, Jalan Anggerik Aranda BG31/BG, Kota Kemuning, Shah Alam. Did not take many pictures. We ordered Chinese Fried Rice and etc. All I can say is that order Indian food and the local kuih. Excellent in taste. Others were not so hot. I'll skip those.

Egg Appam. It looks better than it taste. Comes with sweet fresh santan. I walloped 2 of these egg appams. Ha ha ha 

Had mango lassi. Cool and refreshing on a hot day
